In his first address as president, Donald Trump spoke to the 62.9 million people who voted for him.

“This moment is your moment. It belongs to you,” he said.

The rest of the country might as well shear itself off from the mainland. It’s not part of Trump’s America.

Sure, Trump also said, “The oath of office I take today is an oath of allegiance to all Americans.” But that was bare lip service. He paid no heed to the 65.8 million Americans who voted for Hillary Clinton — just as he paid no heed to Clinton, who attended Trump’s swearing-in.
