The White House scored its first major legislative victory in the House this week with the passage of a GOP plan to repeal large parts of the Affordable Care Act.
But the win on Thursday is only the first step toward fulfilling President Trump’s campaign promise to do away with his predecessor’s signature healthcare law. Now the bill is off to the Senate, where some Republicans have indicated they will simply vote on their own healthcare measure.
Health and Human Services Secretary Tom Price, the man tapped by Trump to help lead his administration’s effort to repeal ObamaCare, is set to appear on NBC’s “Meet the Press” on Sunday to talk about what’s next for the GOP’s amended bill, dubbed the American Health Care Act.
